wir haben eine reine Linux-Umgebung mit etwa 110 Ubuntu-Notebooks und drei PC-Räumen, wovon einer mit einem LTSP-Server und Fat Clients läuft. Wir stellen aber gerade alle Desktops auf Fat Clients und LTSP um. Wir nutzen IServ als Schulserver und verwalten alle Clients mit Festplatten mit ansible. Die Notebooks nutzen temporäre Nutzeraccounts, die beim Neustart gelöscht und Standardeinstellungen wiederhergestellt werden.

The public library in the Belgian city Boom and two schools in the cities Laken and Peer will be using a special Ubuntu GNU/Linux computer, with one machine serving six Open Source desktops.
These computers have six screens and keyboards attached to a single PC. The six seat system performs equally well as six individual systems.
